new to feeding cresties

ok`so`i got my first crestie today and i am hooked. i mixed Repashy CGD water mixture with some ground banana and put it in one of those ketchup cups from fast food places. My tank is pretty tall and my crestie is usually around the top area so i was wondering, if i just put the cup full of food on the bottom of the cage will he come down at nights and eat it?

I put the CGD of all my cresteds on the ground, my adult groups are kept in 24" tall cages and have no problem finding it. Cresties find CGD using smell. One thing you do have to be careful of it keeping hatchlings in cages that are too large as it can be hard for them to find food. If the cage is appropriately sized for the gecko there should be no problems.

I feed mine on the ground also, no problems. Although those pangea mushroom things with the cupholders are pretty cool- http://www.pangeareptile.com/store/pangea-magnetic-mushroom-ledge-cup-holder.html

and if I had one I would certainly use it.

I use the mushroom ledge for my larger crestie, she uses it all the time and you have a water bowl right next to it, for my small crestie i just use a bottlecap on the floor and she finds it allright.
