One of my leos seem to have been eating very little for the past month. I know it is not uncommon for this to happen. I am starting to see weight loss on her which has me worried. She will usually one eat 1 to 4 mealworms every other day. When she eats it takes her many tries to actually get the mealie in her mouth and eat it. Is it maybe that she is not fond of the taste of mealworms?

Some of them are lousy hunters. I have one like that and have had more luck using superworms which she seems to be able to catch better. She has gained weight much more quickly since then.

Of course some are just naturally cutting back on consumption
at this time. For me anyway. And mine remain healthy looking
and maybe just holding weight...For ones dropping weight I
find that a limited use of wax worms can get them back
weight and possibly stimulate them back to eating their
regular diet too.
How long have you had her?
What is her weight?
How much weight has she dropped?
Does she Look or Act sick...beside your worries in her feeding.
Maybe try every day feeding if possible.
Add a wax worm(if you can) after she eats 2 meal worms.
A day or two this way then 3 meal worms before
a wax worm/sometime 2.

Do you feed your meal worms?
Try some orange peel in with them, but not when refrigerated.
My food tests tell me the worms seem to become more of interest to some.
Any thought she may have a sight problem?
Take care. HJ

Ill try to answer all of your questions here. I do not know how much she weighs as i do not have a scale. Weight loss i would say maybe 2 to 5 grams. I have had her for about 3 months now. She does no act sick in anyway. No I do not feed my meal worms but I will give that a try. I do not believe she has sight problems. As she can visibly see the meal worm nudge it with her nose and walk away from it. As for using superworms I have thought about that before. They are too big for her right now she is still a younger one. She is only 5 months old.

I see you have 3 geckos. Are you housing her with another?
If so put her by herself.
Coax feed her. Warm the (orange peel worms) in your palm
and one at a time keep dropping them in her line of vision.
Keep it up til you get her interest.
Tease her with the bounce of the worm.
Try wax worms if she turns her nose up at the meal worms.

I agree..to large.
Take care. HJ
