Not hungry and sad looking gecko

My gecko is hungry and is completely refusing his food hes ALWAYS hungry and begs to be fed and I feed him but yesterday and today hes not eating and he looks sad. Instead of being awake he just lies down his head on my substrate and closes his eyes im realy worried. Hes also stopped pooing.

Most likely reasons why your gecko is not eating:

--it's gotten to the size where it doesn't want to eat every day
--the weather is getting colder with less light and it's going into winter mode.

If your gecko is more than 40 grams or so, if you've had it for awhile and if you're trying to feed it every day, try switching to every 2-4 days. If it seems to be losing weight, you will need a vet visit, otherwise, welcome to winter.

I feed my gecko every other day maybe its just the winter mode. Thanks for your help.

What substrate are you using?

I'm also curious too. If your using sand or another loose substrate it could impaction.

What are the temps? he could be too cold.
