Ok guys I am going to try to use perlite in my incubator. I put the water in and weighed everything just like the book says. lol. Is the perlites still going to be hard like it is out of the sack. if I have eggs right now in vermiculite is it ok to move them to the perlite? Thanks

Perlite will absorb water and expand/soften. You could transfer eggs, but unless theres a real reason to(mold, etc) why bother? Both perlite and vermiculite work well as incubation mediums. I say use up the vermiculite and save the perlite for a fresh clutch.
