Photographing Geckos

Just wondering if there is a safe way to photograph geckos so they don't over stress. Obvisously use natural light but is the flash okay too? And what about props and stuff, should they all be bleached prior to or what? Just want to be more safe than sorry

You can use a flash, it won't hurt them. Are you wanting to take photos in a light box on paper or something fancier?
