We got a baby AFT about 2-3 weeks ago. Started noticing the past few days he hasn't been pooping. Eats like a champ, just doesn't poop. He was doing fine when he first came home, so we're wondering what's going on. Started giving him 15 min. warm soaks, and gave him 2 drops of olive oil. after soaking him today, I checked out his belly and it was a little hard. Anything else we should be doing besides that? And normally how long down the oil take?

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just a guess, but I'd think that if nothing has happened after 2-3 days with the soaks and the oil, a vet visit may be in order.

We'll be keeping an eye on him. Will up the soakings. And how much oil is too much? Twice a day?

I just don't want to make the little guy sick from it.

twice a day is good. give him a mouthful each time. you should see some progress, other wise, yep a vet visit.

Oil did the trick and he went... in his water dish. Better then nothing. Think I'll still give him a good soak and a dose or two more of oil to make sure everything's running smoothly.

Yeah, we were getting a little worried because he had stopped going and is still eatting like crazy. I even checked his belly and it was a little hard. Maybe I'm overly paranoid.
