PVC hides

anyone use any homemeade PVC hides? if so post photos!

we are thinking of making some but russ wants to get an idea of how you guys make them. he has a few different ideas

I don't have any on me at the moment but I have made some for other people in the past. its pretty simple to make them. Just use a large drill bit (the kind you use on making holes in house doors for the handle - I forget what the bit is called). Coat it in the silicone and coat that with coco fiber like you would a foam background for arboreal geckos and frogs.

he wont use the coco fibre we do the plain jane thing here. he is a prototype machinist, so he can do them but he has a few different designs in his head and he was wondering what other people did and how well they worked.and you use silicone (what kind of silicone), not that purple pipe dope?

I would just cut the PVC length wise for terrestrial geckos so it sits on the ground

or, you could use PVC caps done the same or plain.

Zack, also if i was to use the caps what would i use. silicone (what type)? or pipe dope?

Where are you thinking of gluing to make a pvc hide?
