I bought my little girl in hopes of using the enigma gene as an enhancer to another bell albino. Unfortunately, I notice she is showing signs of ES. Can this be bred out over time? I don't want to be that irresponsible breeder who continues a defective gene into my breeding pool. I read that, for example, spider ball pythons who have a similar neuro defect can be bred with leopard BPs to end the transmission of their defective gene. My question is, are there a morph or type of leopard gecko that I can prevent the transfer of ES if bred to?

By all indications, it seems that some enigmas don't show symptoms and some do and those who do can start to show them at any time. I haven't seen anything to indicate that it can be bred out. Here's an article written for Gecko Time a few years ago about it:
