A couple months ago we took in an unwanted fatty- the teenager had lost interest. Assured that she was a leopard gecko and had had excellent care, she seemed healthy with a nice fat tail. Well..... 2 months later she has hardly eaten. She had been on sand, now on newspaper so it was a bit of an adjustment for her as she is at least 3yrs old. I kept mealworms, that she was used to eating (ha) in for her but she had no interest. Finally today she took 8 from tongs after they were rubbed against her mouth. A couple weeks ago she shed and some was stuck on he eyes, which I got off and using saline daily to moisturize since she still isn't opening her eyes all the way. Feeding from the tongs I think maybe she may be blind Likely not the first time a shed stuck on her eyes She is on day 8 of Reptaid and it looked like she may have also had a parasite issue along with impaction from the sand.
I think the guy who gave her to us was talking out his a** :annoyed:
Thanks for reading this long drawn out post- I just needed to rant.....
