Should I Be Worried About My New Burm?

I recently bought a burm about 6 or 7 feet. I got him about a month ago.
He hasn't wanted to eat which I wasn't really worried about yet.
Today he lunged at my husband when he walked into the room. slamed his head into the plexiglass enclosure. I don't think he got hurt to bad but we figured maybe he was ready to eat so we threw a rat in there and he attacked and killed it but left it dead in his enclsure. he has not pooed yet so I have not got a fecal to the vet yet.
Should I bring the snake to the vet? Or wait it out a little longer. He seems in good health. Is active, just acting weird.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

After a month, he should be more settled in now. It's possible he is wanting to breed, sometimes males go off geed when they have this urge. I would recommend taking him to a vet and having them do a cloacal wash or swab to check for parasites if another couple weeks goes by and he still hasn't eaten.
