Swimming???

So my crested gecko, "kevin" can swim (so suprise!) and so I don't let him swim frequently only one a month or something so should i continue to let him swim he seems to enjoy it and i let him swim onto an island so yeah!.....

No dont let any Lizard swim, Chances are he will drown and you may not even know. Its very dangerous, Unless a Lizard swims in the wild * Must swim in the wild VERY frequently * then I understand but this is a Crestie bro.

Just because a crestie CAN swim, doesn't mean he SHOULD swim. I'm sure if dropped in a puddle in the wild they would try very desperately to get out of it, but they are arboreal.

Pretty what everyone else said, it's not safe and they probably only do it so they don't drown.

Not sure if I would. I honestly don't know if they swim in the wild. Mine will sit in their water bowls, so I think they may enjoy soaking though. Other arboreal species I know of (like iguanas) are very good swimmers, since jumping out of a tree into water is a good way to avoid being eaten.
