temp issues...

i just got my thermostat and i can get the floor temps at a perfect 92 however im having trouble getting the air temps even out of the higher 70's......(warm spot) i cant get the air temps up without the floor temps higher. ive cut some cardboard to cover the warm half of the tank to try getting the air temps up but after a few hours it move up to about 80, is that good? or should i try get them up even more?

k never mind, i got them worked out, warm spot air temp is to 88, and floor temp is 90.5 just had a hard time figureing this new thermostat out is all. reading the directions "thoroughly" helps out alot.....
