This is a good example of why it's good idea to keep redundant records. i keep a list of each clutch by lay date in the front of my record book and then check it off, with dates, when the clutch hatches. I also list in the day planner which gecko laid which number clutch on the date it was laid and record when the geckos hatch. I use the actual day planner to guide my expectations about when the next hatches are due. So this morning, I didn't pay too much attention to the incubator, because no hatches are expected till next week. Surprise! Look what was running around in the incubator:



I'd recorded the lay date in the inside cover of the planner but forgotten to put it in the actual planner. I've gone back and checked everything now, and found another mistake, but it seems that everything is correct finally.
