Thrive hexagon

I've only ever had screen mesh lid tanks. My question is: To anyone that has used the thrive hexagon tank, How do you feel about the ventilation? Do they let UV, light, heat, air through them well?

i'm not familiar with them. Petco says "allows for proper ventilation". What is the top like if it's not mesh. If it's heavy plastic with mesh-like holes in it it's probably fine.
