I'm wondering how long should I wait to start breeding
My gecko should he be 2 to 5 years old and should I have him for more than a year

You should definitely give him time to get settled in and make sure his environment and feeding schedule are 100% dialed in. Not only will this help you down the road, it'll also help your geckos to be in their prime before breeding. Many people have trouble breeding animals when the animals aren't 100% happy... When your geckos have nothing else to worry about (temps, food, etc) then they'll be perfectly fit for breeding

Do you have both a male and female? If they are housed together, they made have already made the decision for you!

But it sounds like yours is old enough. Just be sure that you want to breed them. Check the other post in this forum called "Breeding leos." There is alot of good info there you should be considering, too.
