tokay heat

is a heat lamp necessary for tokay geckos.Im not talkikng about basking but just for humidity/I was thinking if i sprayed the tank i could turn the heat lamp on afterwards for high humidity.

Hi,

i think,it`s necessary,to install a heat lamp.How else will you get the temperatures you need in the viv? They dont need UV-Light,but i see my tokay-male very often near the tube,i installed for the plants and for day/night simulation.

When you live somewhere,where you have the same temps like S/E-Asia,you dont need a heatlamp

For heating tokays go with a infared or other nocturnal bulb, their nocturnal so no UVB is required. I use to mist my tokay cages good atleast once a day.
