Hey there! I had a quick question about egg incubation. Once you have the proper ratio of vermiculite to water, do you just leave the eggs in there and not bug them while they are incubating or do you check on them and add water as needed to keep the humidity at a proper level?

Thanks

I personally find I have to add water, but I live in an extremely dry climate. I lost my only good clutch this season due to not enough water. I thought it would be fine, but whenever I opened the container to let fresh air in, the humidity would rush out and dry air would replace it. I don't think this is as much of a problem if the air where you are is a bit more humid. When I was in Arizona, it seemed more humid to me than where I am. This is just my personal experience. The best way to be sure of proper humidity levels is by using a hydrometer.
