this an older male, the mass is not fluid filled it is not rock hard but it is solid. he is eating, drinking, and pooping fine, very active hence the poor pic quality lol.

It looks like either a tumor a growth or an infection which should probably see a vet.

thanks for the confirmation, that is what i thought, just got back from the vet, it is not an infection, so due to his age, we decided that we will let him be. made a list of important behaviors and some of his favorites so my judgment wont be clouded by emotions. he is active eating and drinking normally as of now.
