Winter weather

As winter rolls in here in Michigan and being a new owner of both a Leo and a Beardie I started worrying about the possibility of a power outage. Do northern owners keep a few of the shipping hot packs on hand just in case?

You can get a UPS (uninterruptible power supply), usually made for computers, which will run the power on batteries for awhile if the power goes out. Otherwise, lay in a supply of hot packs.
