I have found that if you rub the side of their mouth side to side or up and down they will open their mouth (reflex I believe) and then I put the drops in. Go slowly so they dont choke or get stressed out.
Ive used this method for slurry, medicine, and liquid calcium with no problems. :) Good luck
zoo med uth's dont fit on the bottom of visionarium tanks because they have weird bottom. I use the ultratherm heatpads they are way better in my opinion than the zoo med ones anyways.
Hey! Does anyone have any experience using the new product by Blue Igauna called Cal-Stron?
It is calcium and strontium (phosphorous free and no D3). It claims that research proves that with the strontium it increasing bone density more than others.
I got a free (full sized) sample...
Each tank has its own ultratherm heat pad (available from the bean farm online) They are the best in my opinion. I use 6x23 but 6x17 works as well. To control temperatures I use 2 zoo med rheostats. One rheostat controls 2 heaters (4 heaters on 2 rheostats)
The metal bookshelf I found in a...
I love the visionariums and highly recommend them. I have 4 of them. They do cost a pretty penny tho but I feel like they are worth it.
They sell dividers that can make one visionarium into 2. But personally I didnt feel it was enough room for one adult leopard gecko. Juveniles maybe but...
I am currently treating one of my geckos for MBD (more severe than your baby leo I believe) with Zilla liquid spray on calcium. I got it at the petstore (pet co) for around 10 bucks. On the back it has instructions for calcium deficiency (3 drops each day) I use a oral syringe. A main ingredient...

Anyone have any experience with Jurrisical Liquid Calcium Spray? Do you recommend it?
Most of the vet I have called said they could give her a injection of calcium. I really really dont feel comfortable with this. Any thoughts?
Okay. Well if I just continue to make a paste out of regular powdered calcium will she get better? (Im aware it will take much longer than with calcium gluconate).
Do you recommend that I use calci with or without D3 to make the paste and syringe feed her?
I just found this online. Atleast I know the dosage of calcium gluconate now.
"Moderate to severe cases of MBD require the proper diet, temperatures, and light wavelengths as well as a more powerful calcium supplement than those found in pet stores. Oral administration of calcium glubionate...
I just called the vet I usually use (they gave me baytril and parasite meds for Nala when she was sick) and they said they dont have an calcium gluconate. They could only offer an injection which I really rather NOT do. So hmmm... I guess I will call around to other vets in the area.
=[
So the...
Is it only available through a vet?
I ask because there is some calcium gluconate powder available on ebay (dietary supplement for vegetarians). Go on ebay and search calcium gluconate and check it out and tell me what you think. I realize this is intended for human use but I was just...
