    Need Tank Ideas

I have an old ExoTerra Nano tank/tall (8"x8"x12") which I would love to put something in. Tarantulas and bugs are fine, it used to house a preying mantis which passed after laying eggs (they unfortunately did not hatch). Give me your ideas! I was thinking maybe some species dwarf tarantula...

    Collars.

So just wanted to update you guys on the collar situation with my fiance's 2 cats. I put safety collars on them and they didn't react to having them. And not only that, they didn't kick them off at all. I am a little surprised (though its a nice surprise) because his mom and dad would tell us...

    Sasha

I have tried scruffing, but she still wiggles and I don't want to cut her quick. I think my old roommate may have traumatized her or something with nail clipping because when she first brought Sasha home, I clipped her nails and she was calm. That was the only time I have clipped her nails until...

    Sasha

So a few of you may have heard of the gas-y, flea infested, and skinny kitten my roommate brought home and then later gave to me. Well she now has a belly. Shes not fat, but shes not skinny. She also has no more fleas. And best of all she isn't gas-y anymore. Apparently my roommate was feeding...

    Burglars

I wish I could have my big dog with me here to be honest, but I think he is on the breed restriction list. He is a boxer/pitbull mix and the biggest sweety ever. All I need is a dog that can have a big scary bark to deter people from breaking into the apartment. I am actually partly glad I...

    Burglars

Someone broke into my apartment yesterday. I just got a call from one of my roommates. So far I know that the front door was kicked in and my door was broken. She only knows that my TV, PS3, its games, and controllers were taken. These were in the living room. I guess I am returning home...

    Favorite Fish Store Closing

I am so angry and sad. My favorite privately owned fish store is closing. A store that has been open since 1965. They always had the healthiest fish, and gave the best advice to how to set up different types of tanks and how many fish should be in them and what plants you should use with the set...

    Collars.

They are indoor cats and have never been outside. The collars are for if they manage to escape. The only time they will go outside in the future is if my fiance's family harness trains them, which will most likely not happen. And the thing about kicking off collars, is what is the point of...

    Christmas Rant and Rave...

If it is that loud I think you can file a noise complaint with the police. It's nice they're really into the holiday spirit but you shouldn't have to suffer with all that noise in the middle of the night. Maybe ask them to turn it down at night?

Need Some Help with a Kitten

I believe she is feeding her friskies dry food but roommate just got a different kitten food. She was on science diet for a bit too, but that didn't help with the gas except that it smelled a bit less. When she got the kitten, friskies was the food the lady gave my roommate.

    Collars.

Actually it depends on the dog. Like I said, the first time they had collars they got them off. Maybe I should have been ore clear. From what my fiance said, they seemed to freak out and got them off. This is why I am thinking of starting with normal collars with no bells or tags to get them...

Need Some Help with a Kitten

Update: Kitten is doing really well! She is getting big and loves to steal keys and hide them. Almost missed the bus because of that. She is getting big with a nice round belly (she is not fat, just she is just not skinny anymore) and is completely flea free. She will be going to get spayed...

    Collars.

Well, they live next to a really busy road, so I don't think these cats will ever go outdoors, unless by halter/leash or they escape. I will go to the store and look at the collars and compare them. I might start with a non-safety collar then switch to a safety collar when they get used to...

    Collars.

So I am thinking of getting collars (for Christmas) for my fiance's family's 2 cats, Chomper and Rocky. They are ~3 years old. My question is how do I keep them from kicking off the collar? My cats had always had collars and I have never had one kick one off. His mom says that gave collars...
