I have asked that question many times. I never notice if my CGD goes down or if they even touch it. However, I only feed crickets once a month and they are big babies of great weight. You will notice if your gecko is starving, he will drop wieght and look emaciated. But I think they get it...

I say corns, because about 4 of my geckos HATE being held and just run away. Corns are always super nice.
