Hatching, no bator

i found some perlite, had to run all over to find it because home depot only had the kind that had fertilizer in it. What should the ratio be for water to perlite? I have read 1 part water:2 parts perlite, 1 part water:1 part perlite, and .8 part water:1 part perlite so im not sure what to do...

And the eggs are still dented, will that correct itself once the eggs are in perlite?

thanks

Hey Eric. I hatch all my females without an incubator. So does Albey. Use perlite... .8 x perlite weight = water.
No holes in lid. If you have a place with temp 78 to 84 it will get
you females. may take a bit longer but I feel worth not as much
worry with the flux. of a bator.I put a $12 elect. heater with
heat control on a shelf of a shower room.
My incubator reads operates in a room temp of 73 degrees.
(males only for me with it)
I was 25 for 25 in 2008. this no bator way..............
Denting where? top or bottom? How bad. Photo possible?
take care. Hj
