R.I.P Ivar

I found our poor little Ivar dead this morning. His tank had huge blood pools in it. We sent his body to our vet and she had an intern open him up. They found a rupture to the top part of his stomach. They did find 2 whole undigested supers that he had had last night. I was of the mind set that the supers biting a gecko internally was an "old wives tale"....now I am starting to worry. She didnt have a concrete explaination for the rupture. It could have been a weak spot in his stomach she said but had no explaination for what may have been the cause. This is our 3rd loss in about a week. Im not sure I want to go look in my tanks.

Aw hon that's never a good way to start your day. Go check and cuddle the rest of your critters. It will make you feel better. If you're worried about the "old wives tale" then squish the heads and feed him with tweezers (or at least I would think that would be a better way to go if you're worried).
